Questions answered

What this video answers

Can I add my own sections to a contact record?

Yes. Alongside the usual name, phone and email, you can add sections of your own. In the video, Acme Plumbing keeps a Plumbing Enquiry section (job type, urgency and the quote), a Property section (the hot water system and its age) and a Customer Care section (the last service and when the next one is due).

How do I create a custom field in Sales Intellect?

In Sales Admin, give the field a name, choose its type and the section it belongs to, then save. It is on every contact straight away. Types include drop-down lists, dates, numbers and simple yes or no switches.

How do I copy or edit a contact's details?

One click on a value copies it, so a phone number is ready to paste. Two clicks edit it: pick or type the new value and it is saved straight away.

Can I see who changed a contact's details, and when?

Yes. Every change is kept in the field's history, so you can always see who changed what, and when.

Can I choose which columns show on my contacts list?

Yes. Drag in the fields you want to see at a glance, such as suburb, job type or the age of a hot water system, put them in order, and the list follows.

Can I sort contacts by a field that is not on screen?

Yes. You can sort by any field, not just the columns showing - for example to bring the biggest quotes to the top.

How do I search and filter my contacts?

Type a few words to search everything you know about a customer, then narrow it down. Every field can be a filter, and the counts update as you go, so you can find, say, hot water systems over ten years old from customers happy to hear from you.

What is a saved View in Sales Intellect?

A search worth keeping. Save a filtered list as a View, share it with the team, and it is one click away from then on - always up to date as new customers arrive.

Contacts shaped around your business

Every business keeps track of its customers a little differently. A plumber needs to know about hot water systems and blocked drains. A real estate agent needs something else entirely. In Sales Intellect, your contacts are shaped around your business. Let's see how Acme Plumbing, a small team in Melbourne's north, has set theirs up.

Custom sections on the contact record

Here's one of Acme's customers. Alongside the usual name, phone and email, Acme has added their own sections. Plumbing Enquiry holds the job type, how urgent it is and the quote. Property tracks the hot water system and how old it is. And Customer Care remembers the last service and when the next one is due.

Copy and edit fields

One click copies a value, so a phone number is ready to paste. Two clicks edit it. Pick a new value and it's saved straight away. Every change is kept in the field's history, so you can always see who changed what, and when.

Create your own fields

These fields aren't built in. Acme made them here, in Sales Admin. Adding one takes a few seconds. Give it a name, choose a type, like a drop down list, a date, a number, or a simple yes or no switch, and choose the section it belongs to. Pets on Site. Yes or no. Save, and it's on every contact.

Choose your columns

Now the contacts list. The columns are yours to choose too. Acme's office wants to see the suburb, the job type and the age of the hot water system at a glance. Drag them in, put them in order, and the list follows.

Sort, search and filters

Sort by any field, not just the columns on screen. Here, the biggest quotes rise to the top. Searching is just as flexible. Type a few words to search everything you know about a customer. Then narrow it down. Every field can be a filter, and the counts update as you go. Hot water systems over ten years old, from customers happy to hear from us.

Save a View

That's a list worth keeping. Save it as a View, share it with the team, and it's one click away from now on, always up to date as new customers arrive.
